Happy New Year to all my muscle building buddies!! At this time of year we are looking at ways to improve ourselves in the coming year. Here are some great items I came across for simplifying and streamlining in 2010.

1) The Business guru – Tim Ferris, author of “The 4 hour workweek” did an interview on the powereofless.com website. Download the mp3 of this interview for free.

2) “The power of less” – With the countless distractions that come from every corner of modern life, it’s amazing that we’re ever able to accomplish anything. The Power of Less demonstrates how to streamline your life by identifying the essential and eliminating the unnecessary – freeing you from everyday clutter

3) Gretchen Rubin is a best-selling writer whose new book, The Happiness Project, is an account of the year she spent test-driving studies and theories about how we can be happy in this life http://slate.com/blogs/blogs/happinessproject/default.aspx
Book signing : Washington, DC — January 18, 2010
Borders 5333 Wisconsin Ave. NW Washington, DC 7:00 pm

4) excerpt from Gretchen Rubin ….”One thing I’ve been doing all year is keeping an elaborate Happiness-Project self-scoring chart. … I lifted the idea from Benjamin Franklin’s Autobiography. He recounts how he identified thirteen virtues he wanted to cultivate, then made himself a chart with those virtues plotted against the days of the week. Each day, he’d score himself on whether he lived up to his goals. ”
